Established to provide financial assistance to members of the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) who are majoring in civil or surveying engineering at a college or university in Michigan.
This program is open to student members of the society who are U.S. citizens and residents of Michigan. Applicants must be majoring in civil or surveying engineering at an ABET-accredited engineering program at a Michigan college or university and have earned at least a 3.0 grade point average. They must submit an essay that discusses their interest in engineering, the specific field of engineering that is being pursued, and the occupation they propose to follow after graduation. Selection is based on the essay, transcripts, two letters of recommendation, leadership, and interest in the engineering profession through involvement in school and/or outside activities. Financial need is not considered.
