Amaranth Fund Awards
Established to provide financial assistance to women high school seniors in California who are interested in attending college.
This program is open to graduating women high school seniors who have been residents of California for at least one year and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must be planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year institution of high education as a full-time freshman in the following fall. They must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and able to show evidence of financial need. Along with their application, they must submit a personal essay outlining their background, goals, and scholastic achievements; a copy of their latest high school transcript; 2 letters of recommendation; a copy of the last Federal 1040 income tax return filed by their parents; the FAFSA financial aid application; their SAT or ACT scores; and a copy of their college acceptance letter. Selection is based on academic achievement, applicants essay, and financial need. Preference is given to women who have a Masonic relationship or are members of Masonic youth groups.
